Dear God, it's me Karen,

Pat's new diet is being maintained well enough that there is a noticeable difference in the swelling.  Just please let that be the encouragement Pat needs to keep things up.  I'm proud of him for doing the research needed to figure out how to reduce the sodium levels in his body.  It's nice to see that research put into practice and the practice pay off.  Just please keep the road ahead as smooth as possible.  We're taking baby steps here.  I don't care about weight right now, I care about swelling.

Sincerely,
Karen Marrs

Dear God, it's me Karen,

I don't prey for Patrick often if at all, mostly because I don't know where to begin.  He's afraid it's be cause I've given up hope and that isn't it, but my answer isn't much better.  I'm so overwhelmed with all his health problems that I don't know where to start.

I could just ask for a blanket, "please let him be healthier".  However, I understand Rome wasn't built in a day and I know the process to get him where he wants and needs to be will take years.  So I'll start small, one task at a time, until Rome is complete, and my husband is healthy.  But what brick do you lay first?  What becomes the cornerstone to all of Rome?

Well, I think I have the answer.

My husband is currently so swollen all through his body.  It's water weight, we know.  He needs to cut his salt intake, and has.  He needs to drink more regular water, and cut out the other crap, and he has.  He read that eating bananas decreases sodium in the body, so he's shoveling them in.  He is trying.

Just please... I know this won't be an overnight thing.  I know it'll take some time.  But he's putting forth so much effort, please allow him to see success.  It'll help with his motivation for the next stone that follows.

Sincerely,
Karen Marrs

Dear God, it's me Karen,

Pat is starting a new diet.  Please help him find success.  Please help him see it work so he can stick with it.  Please let my husband be healthier so he can be happier so we can be happier.

Please.

Dear God, it's me Karen

Pat's desk chair broke the other day.  I know it seems trivial but a replacement desk chair is a few hundred dollars and he's sitting on a coffee table in the meantime.  It's all we have for him to sit on.

In October I have school money coming.  a chunk of it is going to my mom to pay her back, and that's fine.  A lot of it is going to bills and that's life.  But if Pat could magically find the money for a new chair.  Otherwise it might not happen until the tax return and that's a long time off.  He can't keep sitting on the table,

Dear God, it's me Karen,

So D really loves his job and it's for a great company.  I thank you for that.  The next 30 days are going to be rough though because he's on probation and they are going to do their best to break him.  Sort of like boot camp.  If you can survive probation you're hired on for good and treated well.  Oh, and you can survive anything the company throws your way.

So please I ask of you to stay buy his side, lift him up, give him a helping hand.  Please.  He just needs to make it through the next 30 days and he's golden.

He can do this.

Sincerely,
Karen Marrs

Dear God, it's me Karen,

Rachel is back in the hospital for a few days being watched over while they change out her meds.

See, we're not suppose to worry too much, but her liver is showing some very early signs of rejection.  Now, it's really early so it can be prevented and this new med is the best med and it should be a huge help.

But when she was on it before, it gave some undesirable side effects.  Which in the grand scheme... Risk verses benefit is a whole different concept when it comes to something like this, but I'd still like to think she'd have a great quality of life once things have settled down.

I know the first year is the hardest.

You have brought her this far so I trust you to continue to watch over her.  Please don't let her reject this liver.  Please let her find a recovery from all the pain she's been in.  Please let her spleen heal.  Please let her be ok.

Please.

Sincerely,
Karen Marrs

Dear God, it's me Karen

D's in a bad situation.  Someone he cares very much about, is in the process of rekindling an abusive relationship.  A relationship that may well take D's daughter away from him.

I just pray that the girl in question will make the right decision.  I pray that D can find peace.  I pray that the father/daughter relationship is not harmed in all this.

Please guide this.  I leave this in your hands.  I know the girl's will is strong, but the guy beats her.  We got her away from him once, I'm afraid next time...  I'm afraid for her, for D, and for everyone.

Please look out for these people as I care about them.  Dis family.  His daughter is family.  This girl is practically family.  Please watch over them and see that no harm comes.

Sincerely,
Karen MarrsPray
