Dear God, it's me Karen,
So Sammy loves preschool and preschool loves her.
Thank you for your helping hand.

Dear God, it's me Karen,
Today is Sammy's birthday. She is 4 now and I'm hoping this year is easier than 3 was. She is... spirited.
But really, if you can just watch over her and help her to be happy and healthy, I'll take her exactly as she comes.
May she continue to learn and grow as she starts preschool. May she shine as bright as any star. May she remain sweet on the inside, even if you do have to get past a sour layer.
May she be happy.
Sincerely,
Karen Marrs

I hope all is well with the family that had to cancel their appointment last minute, but thank you for getting Sammy seen today so she could go to preschool.

Dear God, it's me Karen,
Alright, so here's the deal. My daughter Sammy is so ready for preschool. She is beyond ready and rather upset she doesn't have a classroom to visit everyday. I'm working on getting her enrolled but I dropped the ball when I needed it in play.
First, I should have started this process last spring. I kind of tried to, but I was too sick to put the needed effort into it.
Second, apparently she is a month late on her yearly physical with her doctor. This wouldn't matter except her doctor might refuse to fill out the needed paperwork until she's been seen. I have her scheduled. I've had her scheduled. But I scheduled it too late and the earliest they can see her is September.
I find out tomorrow if they will fill out the paperwork. I really need them to fill it out. Or, if they can't, then I need them to see her this week for her yearly physical.
I need to get this kid into preschool and we're running out of time as the classes are filling up. I'm afraid that if we wait until September it'll be too late and we'll have to wait a year.
We can't wait a year, It's killing me that she has to wait a week. She is so ready.
Please let this matter be safe in your hands. I will do all I can on my end, but we might need some additional help from you. Please.
Sincerely,
Karen Marrs

Dear God, it's me Karen,
I have been advised not to pray for patience as you just might give me something to need to be patient over. I don't know that it works that way, but I'm not going to argue and risk it.
So instead I ask for the wisdom and inner peace, not to mention mental health, to find my own patience within myself.
I pray for this for my husband Pat as well.
We both are struggling as parents right now. With our mental health at it's worse, it's hard to be the parents we want to be. We love our kids and I think that's clear, but love isn't enough.
Pat had to survive his childhood. Not thrive, but survive. As a result has has PTSD from his own childhood.
It is my hope that my kids won't see this happen to them. I wish for them a childhood where they can thrive, be happy, and feel loved. For this, the foundation is within Pat and I and the key missing ingredient is: Patience.
Sincerely,
Karen Marrs
